My Husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this beautiful hotel.
The owners made us feel incredibly welcome and could not have been more helpful.
The breakfast was superb - so much choice - a great way to start the day !
Our elegantly decorated room was spotlessly clean.
We cannot rate this hotel highly enough and we hope to return.

No encontramos nada mal. Excelente relacion precio-calidad.

We had a weekend trip to kalambaka for visiting Meteora and the area around Trikala. We selected Dellas Hotel because the very good reviews we read in trip advisor and other hotel booking sites.
We arrived in hotel at 22:30 pm Friday night and we left hotel next Monday morning. The gentle administrator welcome us, gave us a double bed room (as we asked for) and after showing us the room and explained everything about the room amenities he eagerly informed us about the nearest restaurants, the possible places where we could have an excursion the following days. The next days he offered maps about the monastiries and visiting hours timetable and a map of the perfecture of Trikala as well, so us to help us visiting the mountain villages like Elati, Pertouli e.t.c.
I found the room and the whole place elegantly furnished and decorated. All the places were very clean, tidy, no strange odors. Every day they were cleaning the room and changing the towels.
The breakfast was very nice and very rich, the first morning we had an extended presentation of the offered food and drinks.Very clean , nicely served and presented buffet.
Although we were only a few people in the hotel, the buffet were fully presented.
There is also a parking area in front the hotel which I think it is important.
Because the winter period is a quiet one I cannot have an opinion on the noise matter, but we did not hear even a sound. We slept very well, as the bed was very comfortable. I can say that for sure because I have a problem with my back and I was awaking without having any aches.

Another thing that made me a very good impression , it was the fact that the gentle administrator and also receptionist due to the small size of the hotel, was always at his position ready to serve the clients and answer to every question. We also were given a gift as a souvenir when we left hotel.
Certainly a place that is worth to stay , staff and owners that are incredibly kind and ready to serve the clients. The warmth of the hotel atmosphere and the landscape, exactly under the meteora cliffs, offer a relaxing, lovely place.

This is a beautiful little hotel, run by a very nice and super helpful family. We had a nice, big room with a balcony and gorgeous views of some of the rocks of Meteora. Probably the best part was the enormous home-made breakfast with a huge selection of home-made fruit preserves and pastries (among other things). I wish we could have stayed longer!

We stayed at this hotel for two nights visiting Meteora. We were the only guest in the hotel and we got royal treatment. The hotel provided us with maps and literature on meteora and the environment. (they have it in all common lenguishes). Since in winter some of the monastries are not open the hotel owners Mrs and Mr Dellas gave us the information about openning time.
Since we do not eat meat the hotel found a resturant in Kalampaka which serve fish.
Breakfast was great with home made jam etc....
The hotel is new and spotless, the furnitures are new but have the taste of past which add a lot of charm to the place.
    Highly recommanded

A nice, quiet, cozy hotel located quite close to Meteora main street, not within a walking distance but u need a car anyway to visit all the famous monasteries (and to be honest, the town itself doesn't offer any other tourist attractions). The groundfloor lounge with a bar and fireplace, quite useful if u travel off the summer season. We visited meteora in october, the days were short, it was raining in the evening, u will not find any european standard pubs or cafes in the town, so having a groundfloor bar with comfortable sofas and fireplace was a good thing. Very nice, responsive staff, speaking good english and a little spanish. They gave us a goodbye souvenir at the check out. Breakfast in form of a buffet, with many housemade specialities. Fast Internet connection in the room, the staff give u a password and u can use your laptop in the room free of charge. Big, comfortable bed, spacous room, eveything clean. The only thing I didnt like was the shower, as it didnt have a proper cabin but a curtain.

Hotel Dellas is Number 1 for a good reason , they are awesome !!

Ever since I found Trip Advisor a few years ago I have been booking my hotels based on their reviews. I was pleased once again when I booked Hotel Dellas in Kalambaka for a one night stay in October. My daughter and I went to visit the monasteries at Meteora. Hotel Dellas was VERY nice. Clean (the first thing I always do is check the bathroom to make sure it is clean), comfortable, cozy and quiet. It is on the outskirts of Kalambaka, almost into Kastraki Village, but it is on the main road and we easily walked from town to the hotel. It is directly opposite some of the sandstone rock formations so ask for a room with a view of the rocks. The desk clerk spoke perfect English and was very helpful in explaining all about the monasteries and how to reach them. We were given a map and a guidebook to use while we were there. The guidebooks need to be returned but you can buy a copy in town. The common areas are very comfortable with a well stocked bar, an inviting fireplace, and a large screen TV. We were there in off season so it was a quiet night . Breakfast in the morning was plentiful and delicious. Mrs.Dellas is in charge of the breakfast buffet and explains what everything is.
The afternoon desk clerk was a lovely young woman who helped us with planning our bus ride back to Thessaloniki. We were travelling on the last day of a Greek holiday weekend and the clerk expressed concern that we may not be able to get a seat on the bus with our "open return" bus ticket. So she called the bus company to find out what times had availability and called our room to let us know. Then Mr. Dellas, the hotel owner, took our open return bus tickets DOWN TO THE BUS STATION HIMSELF and got them turned into definite seats for the time we wanted to return. What a gentleman he was! If they hadn't helped us we may not have been able to get back to Thessalonaki as planned. Then on the morning of our checkout we were given a free postcard view of the monasteries and a small gift, a ceramic view of Meteora complete with a stand to display it on. These people know how to make friends! :) Mr. Dellas even offered to give us a lift into town when he found out we were walking back to the bus station. What nice people they are! We hope to get back to Meteora again one day as we didn't get to see all the monasteries and when we do we will definitely stay at Hotel Dellas.
They have a small collection of key rings from different states in the US so if you go bring them a keychain from your state. We have mailed them one from RI. I can't say it enough, Hotel Dellas is very deserving of their number 1 spot on the Kalambaka trip advisor forum.

The hotel has a beautiful view of the mountains across the street and hillside all around. The bedroom was elegantly decorated and the bed was one of the best we slept on in Greece. Loved sitting out on the patio and enjoying the view while palying a quick game of cards before dinner out. Classy accommodations and service by the owners/family. The breakfast was lavished with home baking++, local thick amber honey, rich local yoghurt, fresh fruits, boiled eggs, cold cuts, cheeses, cereals, juice varieties, tea coffee. Beautifully presented. The bar and entertainment room are a nice feature later in the evening after seeing all the monestaries. Local map provided by the hotel staff with information on the monestaries/tours etc. The two local restaurants mentioned by the staff and owner were excellant. I liked the short walk to Stephanos Grill serving a great greek menu! If you don't have a car its a fair walk from downtown to the hotel on the main road. But I've seen many walking farther. We had our laundry done in town during dinner. The owners gave us a wonderful little souvenier as a patronage gift. Truly a wonderful experience. I would highly recommend this hotel.

We stayed at the Dellas for two nights in September 2009 to visit Meteora. We chose this hotel because of the high recommendations we had seen on review sites and were not disappointed. Can only agree with all the other satisfied customers that this hotel gives comfort and service well above its star and price level.

The owners, Mary and Antonio, have a very personal involvement and are extremely helpful, as are all the staff. We were greeted, on arrival, by a charming receptionist who, as well as booking us in, offered suggestions for activities, restaurants and, most usefully, gives guests a map of the monastery area and loan of a book about Meteora.

Our room was spacious, beautifully decorated and very comfortable with good aircon, fridge, elegant bathroom, efficient shower and a balcony overlooking a peaceful mountain view.

The very comfortable lounge/bar is a joy. The decor is extremely stylish, designed by Mary, and very comfortable, with a view of the rocks in front of the hotel.

Breakfast was a masssive spread with a vast array of superb breads, boiled eggs, cheeses, pastries and home-made preserves.

The hotel is very well situated on the road between Kalambaka and Kastraki so that you're virtually on the monastery route and with some of the massive rocks directly opposite. Both Kastraki and Kalambaka, with numerous restaurants and other facilities, are accessible in minutes by car but there are also a couple of tavernas close by.

There is nothing I would fault in this hotel and I only hope we find an excuse to return in the future.

Just a minute or two out of the town ( and on the way to the monasteries) but what a difference! Instead of the busy main street with cars double-parked in front of every establishment the Dellas is a quiet but clean and modern hotel with its own parking lot . Rooms are comfortable and have balconies with views of the countryside. The staff is friendly and very helpful. On checking in I was given an info sheet with the visiting hours of all the monasteries. Add to that an excellent buffet breakfast and you have the ideal spot to stay in Meteora. Highyl recommended!

There are not enough words to express how wonderful our stay was at this hotel. Unfortunately our trip did not go as planned, as my husband became ill the day we arrived. The hotel staff called a cab to take us to the local emergency room. (They also paid for the cab, and would not allow me to pay them back.) We were transferred to another emergency room at a larger hospital. When hospital staff allowed me to go back to see my husband, he informed me that he had already spoken with Anthony from the hotel. Anthony called the hospital as he was worried that we had not yet returned to the hotel. So Anthony knew before I did what was going on with my husband! I am a professional travel agent, and I have to say, I have never, ever, encountered any hotel staff or owner that ever cared as much as Anthony and Maria (the owners) did about us. They were so kind.

Anthony and Maria are just the icing on the most wonderful hotel I have ever seen in Greece. I actually lived in Greece for a couple of years and traveled quite a bit and stayed in numerous hotels. The rooms were exceptionally clean. The rooms have french doors that actually have screens on them so you can open the doors for plenty of fresh air and no bugs!!! (We had no need for airconditioning or heat while we were there, so I can't really comment on that.) The balcony overlooking Meteora was a nice bonus. Breakfast was incredible. There was more than enough food, and the quality was top notch. The yogurt was so thick and creamy - add a little of the fresh preserves and you're in heaven! Even the boiled eggs were great; fresh and perfectly cooked.

This is not your run of the mill hotel. You can't compare it to a large cosmopolitan hotel like a Hilton or Intercontinental. It is a small boutique hotel that is very unpretnecious. They are all about the client and making sure you feel welcomed and appreciated. I really can not say enough about Anthony and Maria.

The rooms were nice and large and well appointed and the rates are quite reasonable. The only negative thing I have to say is that the beds are very hard. But, with all of the positives about this property, that can be overlooked.

As a travel agent I would have absolutely no reservations about sending any of my clients to this hotel. If you are going to Meteora, this is where you should stay.

Dellas hotel is extremely clean, tastefully decorated and conveniently located on the way up to Meteora. Service was the best. Everyone is extremely friendly. The breakfast was very impressive - not on how luxurious it is but there's tons of homemade bakeries and jams that are very special and delicious. We found that there are lots of hotels in the area (much more than you can find on here) so chances are you can find somewhere cheaper on site but Dellas is definitely one of the best.

Spotlessly clean (you can eat off the white marble stairs), new looking furniture, tastefully decorated spacious rooms, beautiful view (we took a back room, with a view of the forest), excellent breakfast (buffet of breads, cheeses, eggs, meats, yogurt, homemade jams, cereal, teas, coffees), impressive fireplace (we asked whether it was real), conveniently located (in Kastraki, a village closer to Meteora than Kalambaka, accessible on foot from Kalambaka which is a town, less picturesque than the village), extremely friendly proprietors and employees (guests get maps, timetables and explanations about visiting the monasteries and use of a book for the duration of their stay). We could not ask for more.

My husband and I stayed at this wonderful hotel for 2 nights. The hotel is new (less than 1 year old) and absolutely immaculate. The lobby is gorgeous and the rooms are all extremely clean and comfortable. We had a wonderful view of the Meteora cliffs from our enormous balcony. It was the best hotel that we stayed in during our vacation in terms of the quality, location, service and value. There are only 19 rooms, so it feels more like a bed and breakfast than a hotel.

Breakfast was the best that we had in Greece, with a large selection of breads, eggs, yogurt, jams, cheeses and meats. The jams and cookies are home made by Mary's mother in law, and were delicious. Wonderful tea as well. In the evening, we drank ouzo in the lobby while sitting on the comfortable chairs and couches.

Best of all was the warmth and hospitality that we received from Mary and Antonio, the owners, as well as Apostolia, the receptionist. We spent quite a bit of time talking with them and it really felt like chatting with long lost friends. Mary is incredibly sweet and wants all of her guests to have a great experience, and it shows by the amount of care that she and her husband have put into the hotel.

Mary thoughtfully gave us a postcard as well as a ceramic gift upon our departure. I felt sad to leave!

Mary and Antonio, efcharisto from your Indian friends! We hope to be back.

What a great find ! The site is magnificent, at the base of the Meteora cliffs, and most rooms have a great view of them. The hotel is brand new,
with a beautiful (marble ?) staircase leading to the second floor. The rooms are immaculate, and most of them have a small balcony with a view of the
cliffs. But best of all is the hospitality and friendliness of the staff: we were greeted like long lost friends, and were shown different rooms for
us to select from. The hotel also has several guidebooks describing the different monasteries of Meteoras, which they kindly loan to visitors
for the duration of their stay. The staff will explain how to reach the monasteries, and inform you of the different visiting hours for each.
Add to this a breakfast buffet that rivals the best in Athens, free internet, and you have one of the best hotel experiences in Greece !

    What a find...

We picked Dellas Hotel off Trip Advisor mainly for price and because it was new. I hate to tell the owners, but it is worth more than we paid. Family run, very clean, great location at base of road to Meteora, but outside the hubub of Kalambaka. Good restaurants nearby. They have Meteora guidebooks for you to borrow, in just about any language.
Night manager was a little perturbed that I asked to use internet at 4:30 a.m., but who wouldn't be? Dellas Hotel will not be a secret for long.

I stayed just one night in order to visit the monastereis. But I would recomend this hotel to anyone without any doubt. First and for me important, you have place to park your car. The hotel is located in walking distance from the village. When you arrive the hotel, the nice girl on reception gives a guide book and helps you to organize the visit to the monasteries. They show you the room and explain you everything you want to know. The breakfast was very good and the service again great!! When we left the hotel, they gave us a small present. A nice surprise!

We stayed at the Dellas Hotel in May 2009 while visiting the monasteries in Meteora; it is on the road between Kalambaka and Kastraki. It's a beautiful hotel in a extraordinary area of Greece!

The owners are wonderfully helpful and they gave us a souvenir gift when we left; now what hotel does that? We were offered suggestions for activities, restaurants and of course most useful, maps of the monastery area. We had dinner at one of the tavernas 2 minutes from the hotel and the hotel has a pleasant lounge/bar in the main lobby area.

The woodworking detail in the hotel rooms is very elegant. The room we stayed in was spacious with a balcony overlooking a peaceful mountain view. The washroom was
great (in Europe you have to worry about that) and our room had a fridge. An appetizing breakfast spread comes included with the price of the room.

We would highly recommend the Dellas Hotel to anyone visiting Meteora, Kalambaka and Kastraki areas of Greece.

We stayed here in September 2008 when it was only a few months old and loved the place. It is a beautiful stylish hotel located right under the rocks of Meteora in the village of Kastraki. The hotel is on the road from Kalampaka and is only a couple of mins walk (along a well lit footpath) into the village centre for restaurants and bars.

First, the owner and staff there are excellent. Maria and Fatini helped us with everything(I mean it, really everything), showed great hospitality and made us feel like staying home.
Second, the room is very comfortable with brand new decoration. The forest and mountain view is excellent.
Third, the breakfast is buffet and really good. They made a lot of homemade cookies and jam which tastes really great.
Forth, the location is good. The hotel is located on the road from Kalambaka to Katraki. It's only 10 minutes by car to the Great Meteora. On the opposite of this hotel, there is a very good restaurant making very delicious soup and grilled meat.

Generally speaking, the Dellas hotel is the perfect place to stay if you plan to visit Meteora.

So the tradition of hospitality in Greece goes a long way back in time. In our times of course everything is measured by money.
Well not in this hotel! Cause here people matters first. In all my trips i have never seen such a behaviour from hotel owners or hotel staff.
Absolutely perfect. Always there when somebody needs them, always there to give you a big smile, always there to make your stay perfect.
As for the hotel... absolutely wonderful. With big spacious clean rooms, big balconies, with a fantastic view to the rocks of Meteora. The hotel is rather small, only 19 rooms, and this makes it more "human'. It is not just another faceless hotel without soul.

Lovely hotel right at the foot of the Meteora. The hotel looks really lovely at the foot of the mountains, and the interior looks very new. The rooms are really spanking clean and everything looks very new. As the hotel could not meet our demands, they allocated two very spacious rooms to us with two beds each. Impressed upon check in. The receptionist is very friendly, and upon check in we were handed a self-drawn map of Meteora's monastries.

Breakfast was the usual spartan Greek hotel breakfast. However, there was a big spread of mamalades, home made, lovely.

Overall, it was a fantastic stay, lovely clean and new hotel at a fantastic price. Service staff and the owners were extremely friendly. We would recommend this to anyone planning a night before/after visiting Meteora.

One thing to note though is that without your own car, the individual traveller may find it difficult to get to Kalambaka town as it is quite a walk away.

We had a really nice stay at Hotel Dellas. We have tried both the cheapest garden view room (the view from the nice balcony is not really worth it, but the room is otherwise perfect) and the most expensive family room for 4 with meteora view, which is huge. People are really kind, and make evrything possible to help you. There is no computer available for guests, but I could use the one from the desk. I would definitely come back to this hotel.

We stayed at Dellas for one night while visiting Meteora monasteries. We were really impressed with the hotel - honestly, even after reading all the good reviews on this site, I did not expect it to be this good. The hotel is located in a quiet place just outside the centre of Kastraki, away from the more busy touristy areas but only 5 minutes walk to restaurants. Car parking is free outside the hotel. It is quite new, immaculate both inside and outside. The decor is very tasteful and shows great attention to detail. Rooms are spacious and very well thought through, I must say that this hotel was better than many of 4 star hotels we stayed at over the last few years. We booked the cheapest garden / montain view room, and the views from the balcony were still amazing - can only imagine what the Meteora-facing room views where like.
The owners were the nicest people - very friendly and helpful with planning our sightseeeing trip. Breakfast was great too - good choice of food, all fresh and delicioius.
WIthout going into too much detail - it's definitly worth booking the hotel, amazing deal and great value for money.

Stayed at the Dellas Hotel at the end of May for two nights; the hotel is modern with a feeling of a 5 star accommodation.
We had a room to the rear of the hotel which had a pleasant outlook with a balcony, table and couple of chairs. The room was very spacious and immaculately clean, it came with TV, fridge - which inside was bottled water supplied free of charge, air-con and large beds.

The breakfast had a good selection to choose from, with fresh bread, yoghurts, honey, meats, cheeses and of course cakes and some of the best coffee we had during our stay in Greece that week.

But one of the nicest things about this hotel is the family who own it, we were greeted at reception by a very helpful young lady who gave us a map/timetable and suggested itinerary for the following day’s monastery exploration. As other reviewers have said the owners are the nicest people you could meet and they go out of their way to ensure your short stay with them will be an enjoyable one.

The hotel is located in a good position between Kastraki and Kalambaka with good parking.

If you intend to visit Meteora then the Dellas hotel is the perfect place to stay.

This is a fine family-run hotel in the colorful village of Kastraki, about as close as you can be to Meteora. We rated the hotel 5-star in all categories. We often see such rating superlatives, but this hotel is truly deserving of it. We stayed in a triple room with a balcony overlooking the flower-drenched, hilly countryside. Other rooms have views of cliffs. The hotel is extremely clean and well appointed. The owners go out of their way to please. Breakfast includes a very long buffet table that will keep you going until dinner. The day receptionist is a delightful lady named Apostoles who is very helpful in terms of restaurant recommendations , Meteora information, and anything else you want to know about. There are 2 fine restaurants near the hotel that serve great food at very reasonable prices: The Paradisio and the Panorama. The Paradisio is especially good. The food is as fresh as it comes, and the Moussaka is by far the best we had in Greece.

Hotel was situated a little aways from the bus stop/central part of town. We walked into town to catch the bus, and it took like 15 minutes with our luggage.
Very nice hotel, clean, comfortable and great views. Staff was extremely helpful in recommendations and answering our questions. Breakfast was delicious with many selections of home baked goods.
5 minute walk to very nice restaurants. To visit the monasteries we took a taxi from the hotel up to the top and walked our way down

The Dellas Hotel is a new hotel that is spotlessly clean and filled with helpful staff and owners. Great breakfast, free wifi in the lobby area (filled with comfy couches), and about as close to Meteora as you can get. We received a very nice parting gift from the owner and had a great (but too short) stay. I would highly recommend the Dellas Hotel to anyone travelling in the area.

My husband and I traveled with 3 teenage girls and were given a family room with 1 larger bed and 3 smaller beds for the kids. The room and the hotel were very clean. The bathroom was immaculate. We had a balcony and a view of the rocks. The best thing about his hotel is the location. It is technically in Kastraki, but it is actually in between Kalambaka and Kastraki, but still on the main road. This makes it easy to find with good access to both cities. Kalambaka is quite developed with lots of hotels, restaurants and shops. It looked noisy. Kastraki is undergoing a building boom, so there is a lot of construction going on. The hotel is very quiet and peaceful. Best if you have a car. Plenty of parking out front. Kastraki is walking distance, but you should drive to Kalambaka.

  • StephaneParis15

Personale ottimo e sempre disponibile.

My wife and I stayed here for only one night as part of our Greece trip, but in that time we were so happy with the service and attention we received. The day that we checked in we mentioned that we were vegetarians and which of the local tavernas would they recommend. They recommended Taverno Paradiso, which was what our book also recommended.

But the owners took the extra step in calling the restaurant to let them know about us, and when we got there the waiter already knew about our requirements.

The next morning at the breakfast buffet the owners were there to help us navigate what they had on hand, it really felt like we were staying at a B&B or small inn.

To top it off at checkout they presented us with a postcard and a ceramic stand of the rocks at Meteora.

I could not have been more happy and satisfied with our stay at Dellas Hotel.

I loved this place - service with a smile and very helpful staff. The decor was lovely - large rooms with a balcony. I only had 3 days here and wished I could have spent longer.
Breakfast was excellent and there was lots to eat. It is a great base to visit the monasteries. While dinner was not provided at the hotel there were some excellent eateries close by. The owners and staff were also very helpful in regards to tourist information. They not only found out about trains to Bulgaria for me but also the local bus to the monasteries. It was really nice to find a hotel where everyone was made to feel really special so a big thank you to Hotel Dellas. Hopefully I will be back.

Me and my wife stayed in the Dellas hotel for two lovely nights. We picked this hotel based on Tripadvisor reviews and our experience exceeded our expectations. We arrived by car after a long drive from Athens airport and were welcomed by a very nice girl at the desk (Apostolia) who gave us a thorough guidance on how to plan our two days for the monasteries sightseeing. The owners Maria and Adonios were very kind and helpful and made us feel at home. Breakfast was rich and natural and tasty. The room was very comfortable and clean. All facilities look new and well kept. Plenty of parking space. The balcony was very useful for us , we set there to eat sometimes with a nice view outside. There are many places to eat nearby. We ate one evening at the Great meteoron tavern close to the hotel and liked it.

Dellas Hotel is locate at the foot of Meteora rocks. We had a corner suite at the hotel overlooking the Meteora rocks and the mountains. The suite was very large, especially for Europe.

The Dellas proprietors showed exceptional care, down to the last details, making sure the room was properly heated and we were well taken care of. Also, they dispensed very good advice on how to plan our trip to the Meteora monasteries, arranged for cab pickup to the monasteries, and afterwards sent a cab to pick us up when we were done. The breakfast was very good, and had an impressive selection of home-made jams, among other things.

The hotel is charming, with very distinctive and beautiful lighting fixtures, and it seemed newly renovated. It was immaculately clean.

Their recommended restaurant turned out to be very good as well. Overall, arriving late and exhausted at the hotel, we were surrounded with the right kind of attention. They even made train schedule inquiries to confirm departure times, and had books on loan to read up about the history of Meteora monasteries. Their care was genuine, and they set a standard for hospitality.

We stayed at Dellas Hotel for three nights in mid February. On our second day, we were even snowed in, and enjoyed the cozy atmosphere, with cocktails by the fireplace.
The rooms were big and spotlessly clean, the view on the Meteora rocks breathtaking. The breakfast buffet was one of the richest I've seen in any Greek hotel, and the furnishings can be characterized by two words only: excellent taste.
Mr. Dellas is a wonderful Greek businessman, and I wholeheartedly congratulate him, and I recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the Meteora-Kalambaka area.

The location in one of the most unusual and spectacular parts of the Greek mainland could not be better. Lovely views of and easy access to the beautiful Meteora area with its monasteries. Just off the main road between Kalambaka and Kastraki and within easy walking distance of several tavernas serving wholesome food and good wine at very reasonable prices. A delightful receptionist welcomed us and she and the owner, Mr Dellas, could not have been more helpful in planning our short stay. Our room was spacious and comfortable, with everything to a very high standard. Friendly staff introduced us to the amazing spread that was breakfast.

We stayed here for one night while visitng Meteora. Hotel is on the road between Kalambaka and Kastraki., closer to Kastraki, but not in the village. Reservations by email were easy. Check in was smooth and woman at desk very helpful with directions, map and hours monasteries were open. They lent us a book about the monasteries for our visit. We had a triple room and a suite. Rooms and bathrooms were spacious and immacuatley clean.Beds very firm. Wifi worked well from rooms. Views of the valley, rock formations and sunset from our balcony were fantastic. It was off season and we were the only ones staying at the hotel. When we returned from dinner, owner had a roaring fire going in lobby fireplace for us. When we came down to breakfast, they had put out enough food to feed about 50 people just for the 5 of us. They had several types of breads, pasteries, homemade jams, yogurt, eggs, sausage, juices etc. Owners were very nice, especailly to our kids. Made us feel very comfortable and at home. Both spoke English. Loved the hotel, owners, atmosphere. Only downside is if you want to go into Kastraki for dinner, you need to drive to as I would not feel comfortable walking on road at night as cars go very fast through that area.

Located between touristy Kalambaka and quiter Kastraki, the Dellas is family-owned and managed. The hotel is only 2 years old and everything is top quality and works well. The staff is top flight - always eager to help on any issue. The rooms are large with more than adequate storage space, refrigerator and good lighting. Rooms on the front have large balconies where you can sit and watch rock climbers and mountain goats on the Meteora just across the street. The rooms on the back are quieter and have a view of distant, snow-covered mountains.
Breakfast was expansive and excellent, including homemade jams and pastries and local honey, hot food and the delicious Greek youghurt.
The hotel is very family friendly.

The staff helped us get taxis, helped us arrange our ferry tickets, bus and train tickets, even gave us a lift to the bus station, they were the friendliest people!! After backpacking around Europe for 4 months, meeting friendly staff and being greeted with a hearty breakfast was just a dream come true. We travel a lot on holidays and vacations etc. and have stayed in many excellent hotels but nothing comes close to our experience in Dellas Boutique Hotel, this hotel and the people who run it need special mention .
Much before we reached the hotel , we were already given a sign of what to expect when Achilleas generously changed our booking date request in very short notice so that we avoid travelling on the day of the strike in Greece on 5th May, though we did not have the pleasure of meeting him when we were in the hotel, his eagerness to help in whatever way he can through many communications that we had was always visible and wonderful to experience. When we arrived, we were greeted with a big smile by Apostolia , the smile stayed on her face throughout our stay in that hotel and she helped us in whatever way she could , from editing the map of Meteora to point out particular spots from where I can take good pictures to booking the taxi for our trip to the Monasteries and back and even providing me with another book with pictures of Meteora knowing I was interested in Photography were so wonderful on her part, Mrs. Dellas sat next to us when we were having breakfast the next day morning being a kind hostess and even booked the taxi for us for another trip to the Monasteries and what would you say when I tell you that Mr. Dellas, the owner drove us to the train station next morning as we had an early train to catch for Athens, at 6 am !!! That was such a wonderful gesture and probably sums up the hotel’s intent to ensure a truly memorable and special experience for its guests and for us it will be an everlasting one.

Now about the hotel, it’s a class hotel , the moment you step in you will find the interiors are designed with fine taste and high quality , as someone has already said in Trip advisor except the tariff of the hotel, rests are 5 star inside and it’s true, the room was spacious, very clean and has everything that you expect in a 4/5 star hotel and the big plus is the huge balcony, our room and balcony was facing the Valley and it was wonderful , we felt just being in the middle of the nature.
I could go on and on but space here will be a constrain :-), I would recommend this hotel to everyone going to Meteora, Kalambaka and I would love to go back to Greece only for the breathtaking Meteora and hotel Dellas Boutique and may be next time we’ll stay for more than 2 nights.

The Dellas Hotel was a fantastic place to stay for the time that my son and I visited Meteora. Everything about the hotel was first-rate. The look and atmosphere was very elegant, but not stuffy. The staff was very friendly. Apostolina greeted us on arrival and did a very nice job of giving us hotel information, maps and a guidebook of Meteora, and suggestions for dinner (just a short walk into Kastraki). Mary and Antonio, the owners, were gracious hosts and very helpful, even driving us to a laundromat in Kambalaka.
The rooms, beds and pillows were very comfortable, the shower good-sized with great water pressure, and the WIFI coverage very good. The room also had a good-sized balcony which included a couple of chairs and small table.
The breakfast was the best we had on our trip to Turkey and Greece. Multiple home-made jams, rolls, bread, olives, sausage, omelettes, juices and coffee and a very attractive breakfast area made for a very enjoyable meal to start the day.
Finally, the location of the Hotel Dellas is very convenient to visitng the Meteora Monasteries. The 9-mile loop road for seeing the monastaries begins at the other side Kastraki, and there is a 1/2 mile hike to a couple of the lesser monasteries just down the road from the Hotel Dellas parking area.
The Hotel Dellas was a perfect place to stay while visiting Meteora.

Dellas Hotel was the best hotel that we stayed in during our brief vacation in Greece. Quality of the service, location, and value are the secrets of the Dellas success (give a look to the high recommendations of the Tripadvisor fans). Just arrived the owners assisted us in scheduling the vist of the area, explaining where are the monasteries and how to visit them, loaning a book about Meteora and a map of the area. Our room, where we stayed for 2 nights, was clean and comfortable with a wonderful view of the Meteora roks just in front of the hotel. Add to this the breakfast buffet that was alwyas excellent and the free internet access. Even if it is not possible to have the dinner in the hotel there are a lot of tabernas that one can reach in a couple of mins walk. In brief I reccomend the Dellas hotel; it is the perfect place to stay if you plan to visit Meteora area.

Great service by the staff. Especially the young lady at the front desk who helped us immensely with our little "incident" involving a parking ticket fine. Haha.

My wife, 19 yr old son and I stayed at Dellas Hotel in May on our trip to Greece. We made a 1 day trip from Athens then moving on to Delphi the next day. Of course, it is hard to tell what a hotel is really going to be like from looking online from the U.S., but we were extremely pleased with our experience. The location was great, the hotel was very nice, the breakfast was bigger than anything we experienced anywhere else in Greece, and the people at the hotel were the best. I cannot say enough nice things about them. I am going to apologize because I wrote down their names and have misplaced the piece of paper I wrote them on, but all of them were excellent. They made us feel like old friends or family members instead of just hotel guests. In fact, they gave us a small gift when we left and gave my wife a rose from their rose garden. The room was fairly large, especially for Greece standards. We had a refrigerator, desk, closet, TV, etc. The location was great. What we liked best -- the people. What we liked least -- nothing. I would absolutely recommend the hotel to anyone -- singles, couples, families. If we were to ever go back to Kalambaka/Meteora, we would absolutely stay here again.

The hotel is very tastefully decorated, with attention paid to every little detail. The people are welcoming and freindly, and genuinely make you feel at home and at ease. Nothing is too much trouble. The breakfast is home made and a real treat. The rooms are spotlessly clean, spacious, air conditioned, and our adjoining rooms had a balcony overlooking Meteora. This compares very well with 5* hotels. The Monasteries of Meteora themselves are truly awe inspiring, and I cannot think of a better base to explore them from than the Dellas Hotel. One of the lovely little touches is you receive a guide book and clear map, with all the Monastery opening times attached. When we revisit we will definately stay here, thank you for a superb holiday. Andrew Judith & Thomas.

Großartiges Frühstück in gediegener Atmosphäre. Although a lot of hotels indicate that theirs is THE location to view the monasteries, I truly think that Dellas Hotel is the ideal location. This hotel is situated a little away from the centre of town and located in a serene surrounding.
Not all the rooms have the monastery view but it does not matter which view you choose. The room is quite spacious and furnished tastefully. The private balcony provides the opportunity to spend time enjoying the view.
The road from the hotel directly leads you up the path to all the monasteries. The owners loan you "the guide to the monasteries" upon check-in and there is no other book / guide you require.
I should not forget the sumptuous breakfast that is included in the cost. The spread is very good and unless you stay for a few days, it is unlikely to sample all the goodies on the menu.
The only word of caution is that you definitely need a car to get around (even to arrive at this hotel).

We really enjoyed our stay here. The rooms are clean and tidy and we had balcony. The breakfast was delicious - a wide selection and local produce. The hotel is in a good location - walking distance to Kalambaka and easy to get to the monasteries by bus or taxi.

However, the thing that made our stay so memorable was the fantastic service we received. The staff were amazing! So helpful in helping us organise taxis and train tickets. We were provided with maps and guides of the local area on arrival and help with planning our itinerary. We felt so welcomed and were disappointed we were only staying one night.

If you're planning planning a trip to Meteora I would strongly recommend staying here.

This small hotel is located very near to the Meteora monastries. It is very new, perfectly clean and well kept. Rooms are quite large and (I think) every room has a balcony. The staff was incredibly nice. They went out of their way to fullfill all our needs, gave us a free guide book for the time of our stay and many hints about our trip. Breakfast was nice and had lots of choice. There is a free parking lot right outside the hotel.

Fortemente consigliato.

This was the most amazing hotel- the staff were genuinely the nicest people i have ever stayed with- for this reason alone i recommend to anyone visiting Meteora. Any request was no problem, they gave great advice and even gave us each a gift when we checked out.
The rooms were clean and tidy, bed comfortable, nice verandah.
The breakfast was amazing- homemade jams, cake, tea, fresh fruits, meats, cereal absolutely delicious!

We stayed at the Dellas on our first night in Greece. This is a newer hotel - beautiful with nice sized rooms. Request the rooms with a deck and views of the Meteora . The owner, his wife and staff were outgoing and extremely helpful. The breakfast was amazing and not matched on any of our other destinations. Very comfortable beds, views overlook the rocks of the Meteora. The location is great, between Kastraki and Kalambaka - an easy walk to both towns. Highly recommended!

The owners and their staff are amazing. Best breakfast buffet in Greece. Everyone extremely helpful and wise about local historical places. Wonderful views on one side of hotel, quite groves on the other. Meteora rocks right out the window. Excellent location for seeing the monasteries and hiking. Cleanest hotel I've ever had the pleasure to stay in.

We were so warmly received and treated by everyone at this lovely hotel, we really felt like family. They were so helpful in explaining the area and providing advice. This is a newer hotel that is in excellent condition. We had a large porch with great views of the mountains and a roomy bedroom. Highly recommend this hotel! On checking out they gave us a small gift for staying with them, very special place and special people.

Great Hotel, Good breakfast, friendlt staff

In truth I found the beds a little hard but I was so tired climbing 4 monastries in one day I wasnt a major bind.

We were upgraded to a triple room as we wanted a double instead of twins. 5 star for 70 euros per night.

Staff friendy and gave a map with monastrie opening times on arrival. We drove and hotel has free parking and also free wifi.

    I would totally recomend

In één woord geweldig.

This hotel is simply beautiful. It's clean, it's decorated with taste, the view is amazing and the location is perfect.
Dellas is located just in between Kastraki and Kalambaka. It's not far from bus central, you can easily reach the Meteores from there, by bus, by taxi or by foot. The breakfast is absolutely divine, and well explained.
They brief you when you arrive about the activities to do around, and the different options you have.
The staff is very nice .

We stayed here one night while visiting Meteora. The staff was so friendly and helpful. They lent us a guidebook to read and use while we were there; they gave us a map and a sheet with the opening hours of all the monasteries. The breakfast was the best of anywhere we stayed in Greece with a big selection and lots of home made jams. There's free parking and the hotel was easy to get to. We were within walking distance of Kastraki and right across the street from a decent restaurant. We were able to go for a nice hike right from the hotel before we checked out. The view from our balcony was stunning. The lobby is beautiful, the room was clean, there was free wi-fi. We were amazed that we were getting such accommodations for that price.

Everything that the reviewers say is absolutley true and they are not exagerating. My wife and I spent 5 weeks in Greece this May and travelled all over the mainland, Crete, Rhodes, Santorini and Mykonos. This was overall the friendliest staff and the best overall value on our entire trip. Our room was very large even by U.S. standards with a balcony and a great view. The breakfast was the best we had on our entire trip. Every single person was so helpful and friendly from dinner recommendations to directions to the monasteries and tips on seeing them to making sure we had everything we needed at all times. We would highly recommend this hotel to everyone staying in this area.

We stayed 1 night to view the monastries-would love to have stayed longer.3yr old hotel oozing with charm.Mary & staff could not do enough for us to make our visit a success, from providing info on the area, booking our onward bus ,taxis to the monastries and taking us into town to get the bus when our visit was over. The breakfast table was groaning with food and Mary took pride in explaining all the options to us.We could not fault the cleanliness of the whole hotel. It is between two towns but taxis are very cheap so this was not a problem.Good value for money.

This hotel has very helpful staff, it is spacious, clean & comfortable. Situated between Kastraki & Kalambaka it is close to Tavernas but in a quiet location. The breakfast is very special. The staff were helpful organising transport and advice on where to eat. We had a great room with views of the Meteora rocks and a huge balcony. The manager even extended us the courtesy of a free trip to the bus station on departure.

We stayed two nights at this hotel while visiting the monastries. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. Upon our arrival, we received welcome gifts in our room - fruits and a bottle of white wine. The room was spacious and nicely decorated with a balcony overlooking the courtyard. We drove to Meteora so it was really convenient that the hotel has free parking outside. The breakfast was excellent with plenty of choices, especially the home made jam are the best I've ever tried. We even received a small gift when we left. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone who plans to go to Meteora.

An excellent base for exploring Meteora. Our room had a large balcony with a view of the rocks. The room was quite large, clean and prettily decorated. The breakfast was lovely with many home made foods like jams and cakes. When leaving we were given a souvenir to remember our stay which was a nice touch. Highly recommended.

Excellent hotel, very clean, with beautiful views, well garnished rooms, excellent breakfast with home made products, everything working, free wifi in rooms and the best, the people working there, always kind and helpful.Located 5min far from the monasteries, itś sure the best option to visit Meteora.

  • Macaogrrrl

This hotel lives up to all its good reviews - Room is clean and spacious with a large balcony, decoration is classic and warm. Breakfast is another highlight with plenty of choices of homemade jam, cookies, cakes, etc.

They've put two bottles of water in the room's fridge, they even offered us another two bottles when we returned to get back our luggages :) !! The small gifts are very thoughtful too!!

The location is not very centered, but close enough to the train station just 10-15 minutes walk away. (last time when we were there, taxi from the train station to the hotel was 4 euros, and 9 euros to the great meteora).

    To sum up, highly recommended.

Hotel recently built (3 years ago), rooms spacious — we were given a free upgrade to a small suite — nice big balconies with a view of the cliffs and surrounding countryside. Everything in perfect working order and very 'solid'. Staff very forthcoming. Location very good — between Kalambaka and Kastraki — meaning that there were quite a few decent taverns and restaurants within walking distance (5 mins). We preferred Kastraki as it is quieter.

There was a big choice at breakfast but the quality of the food was not top-notch. But that was the only minor niggle in an otherwise very pleasant stay. I would definitely recommend it.

The location is perfect, with a gorgeous view of Meteora. But that is nature. The rooms are nice and comfy, but you expect that in a new building. It's the staff that makes all the difference. All are wonderful, and Olympia is the best of the best. They go out of their way to make you feel comfortable, and are there to answer any questions. Oh, yes, ... breakfast is also excellent.

It was three amazing days in this place. Thanks to staff that hotel we had got unforgettable impressions. Cozy and spacious room, fascinating view of mountains and forest. Very tasty breakfast with the best yoghurt of all Greece. If I will have ever have possibility to go to Kalampaka I would stay to rest only this hotel.

We experianced a great time in Dellas Hotel during our trip to Meteora. The whole staff and overal service was great, we definately received great value for the money we paid! This hotel was very good value for money. It is relatively new and kept with pride by it's lovely owners. Staff are friendly and efficient. Our rooms were clean and comfortable.Nevertheless, the bed was quite hard which is not unusual for Greece, It is close to Meteora by car. The hotel and provides an excellent breakfast in pleasant surrounds.
