During check in the lady at the desk gave us all the information on the visit to the Monasteries and the location of all the easy to reach restaurants. The rooms were very clean and the morning breakfast was excellent.

This Hotel is walking distance to plenty of restaurants. We had a car so easy to get to the Monestaries, but another girl at the hotel said the public buses also offered easy access. Hotel was very comfortable and buffet breakfast included was excellent - hot/cold and good range of food.

We stayed 3 nights at the Dellas hotel this week. The hotel is situated midway between Kastraki and Kalambaka, a short downhill walk into either. The owners and staff could not have been more helpful providing useful information on the area. Everything was to a high standard, our corner room (201) was large with a good shower and a very large balcony with views of the Meteora. (Other rooms have different views & balconies.) We found the beds firm but comfortable. There is quite a large communal area with armchairs, bar and a large TV. The inclusive breakfast was outstanding, bread, home made jams, cakes, cold meat, cereal, hot sausages and omelette as well as hot and cold drinks.
Don’t miss the short walk (10 minutes each way) from the hotel to see the hermit retreat and monastery at the rear of the rocks overlooking the hotel. (Left out of the hotel & almost immediate right up a tarmac road. We even saw a ‘wild’ tortoise!)
The hotel doesn’t serve meals other than breakfast, so we ate out at the Stefanos taverna in Kastraki, had a gyros in Kalambaka and a meal in the Panorama restaurant opposite the hotel, giving an interesting cross section of establishments. All proved enjoyable and reasonably priced.

We stayed in the hotel for a night. It was a pleasant experience. The manager at the reception was very friendly and curteous and she helped us with a nice map of the area. She went out of her way to find out the ferry schedule for us for travel in greece. The hotel is a Km from the main Kalambaka square. Take a taxi for 3 euros for the hotel from here. It is a 10 mins walk otherwise. We got a room with the meteora view. It was clean with comfortable bed and a spacious bathroom. The room has a cute balcony with nice wooden furniture overlooking the garden. Perfect for morning coffee or a round of wine with your loved one in the evening. The breakfast was fresh and well laid out. Bargain for the price. We got it for 60 euros. Recommend it to travellers.

The grandest nicest hotel (and at a very reasonable price) is Dellas Boutique Hotel. The owners are wonderful and the service is great. This hotel sits on about 3 acres of its own land so you don’t feel crowded. The hotel is right on the border of town between Kalambaka and Kaysteri on the only street that goes up the hill to the monasteries. We stayed there in room # 102 and it was perfect with a private garden view. Fantastic breakfast is included. At 9am you stand in front of the hotel and the city bus takes you to the Grand Monastery for 90 cents.
We walked to the next monastery in about 20 minutes. Then you can continue to walk down and see other monasteries. We walked all the way back to the hotel.
The owner will also point out 2 monasteries just behind a huge mountain across the street from Dellas. They are a really great to see also. Walk all the way up that small hill to the Greek Orthodox Church to see the monasteries hidden in the mountain side.
And a great treat is the cafe just to the left of the hotel on the sidewalk about 100 steps away. The chef of that restaurant painted the fabulous art that is in the Grand Monastery and the food is fabulous. We had the Chicken Snitzel a la creme.
If you ride the bus to Kalambaka and have large luggage, take a taxi to the hotel as it is up the hill in the northwest corner of town. The locals seem to know nothing about the location of this new hotel as it is on the upper edge of town.

Lovely family run hotel, which looks and feels more like a home than a hotel. The setting is extremely picturesque. The meteora view rooms have a nice balcony where you can relax while taking in the great view. The staff at the hotel is extremely friendly and helpful. The breakfast which is complimentary is a great spread, with a lot of local bakery products. The location of the hotel is excellent if you plan to explore the monasteries and the local countryside which is very beautiful. Down the road from the hotel, about 10 minutes walking distance is a lovely taverna serving great grilled meat. At the time of leaving, the lovely lady, who was the owner of the hotel gave us a small token gift which was really touching. If you are in that part of the world say at Dellas.

Great location, helpful and professional staff, and fantastic assortment of delicious items on the breakfast buffet.
We arrived late in the afternoon to a smile and helpful advice on the times of the monasteries and a booklet of information. The entire staff was gracious and hospitable. We regretted only staying one night!

If you have found this site, look no further! The Dellas Hotel is not only perfect, the owners
are perfect! Maria's hospitality is most gracious. The breakfast buffet is delicious and bountiful and provided an excellent start to the day with both hot and cold items, fruit, pastries, and protein items.
This hotel was not only the least expensive of our 18 night trip to Europe, it was the best!
Large, clean, room and bath, comfortable beds, and great breakfast! Nothing is missing here.
Meteora is very special and worth the milage and effort to get there. It was one of the highlights of our trip.

the location of the hotel in relation to the monastries etc was very good. We arrived late in the afternoon and the receptionist gave us a guide as to the monastries to view that afternoon within the available time. The staff provided excellent advice and service. The ever helpful Mary was a great delight in assisting our needs at breakfast time.

I wish we could stay longer. I and my family stayed at these hotel last June 5 for one night. We booked the family room with mountain view. We had a queen sized bed and two single bed. The room was huge and I was very happy with their service. Breakfast buffet was the best I had in Greece. Ms Olympia also helped me handle a room cancellation with another hotel. She allso lend me a book on the monasteries, their opening time and suggestion on which one to visit first.

Good value: very comfortable room with good views, helpful staff. We enjoyed the included breakfast as well, with large choice of homemade jams. Hotel is just outside of town, so you have to drive or take a bit of a walk for most restaurants.

We arrived wondering just what to expect for the VERY reasonable tarrif (second cheapest in four weeks of travel in Greece and Switzerland) and were delighted to discover a modern hotel, friendly and very helpful staff, and a lovely room with balcony offering a splendid view. Breakfast was a real treat; our hostess was justifiably proud of what she was offering, which included dishes that were family specialities, and a yoghurt that was to die for (we only encontered anything else like it at Delphi). Good advice, useful maps, and the loan of a book about the Meteora monasteries certainly helped us to make the most of our stay. We were quite comfortably walking back into Kalambaka for dinner - 10-15 minutes at an easy pace for us.
The icing on the cake was the souvenir of Meteora that we were given on checking out as their thank-you for our patronage. Overall we were blown away by our experience of Greek hospitality, which was a real highlight of our holiday; in a value for money comparison, Dellas Boutique Hotel just pips a couple of others to win our gold medal from some very strong competitors.

Excellent in everything I could expect. We could enjoy one of the most fantastic place in the world: its settings, its environment and is people, from this exceptionnal hotel. Location: just beneath the monateries and near the village where we could find everything we needed and meet "real"greek" people and its way of living. Just across the road coming out of the hotel we could walk on a small trail and be surrounded by this fantastic nature. Breakfast at the hotel in "delicious" and they were so kind as to offer us "strong" coffee, Thank you Mrs. and Mr. Dellas and you staff, hope to come back with friends or relatives your place is really worth. One more thing: don't forget to go for a walk for a "star" gazing.
